Introducing Airway Exchange, a new podcast for educators

Airway Exchange, a new podcast from AANA and Beyond the Mask, premiered Tuesday, Sept. 23. It offers nurse anesthesia educators a platform to connect and foster a supportive community. New episodes drop every other Tuesday. The host team and guests bring academic excellence to fellow educators, CRNA/nurse anesthesiologists, and future CRNAs. 

Hosts include Gregory B. Collins, DNP, CRNA; Nickie Damico, PhD, CRNA, CHSE, FAANA; Erin E. Martin, DNP, APRN, CRNA; and Louisa Dasher Martin, PhD, CRNA.

Laura Bonanno honored with Helen Lamb Outstanding Educator Award

AANA proudly honored Laura Bonanno, PhD, DNP, CRNA, FAANA, FAAN, with the Helen Lamb Outstanding Educator Award at the 2025 Annual Congress.  

A respected leader in nurse anesthesia education, Bonanno has mentored nearly 200 doctoral students and contributed to key initiatives such as the COA Common Clinical Assessment Tool and AANA Educator Edge.  

Her work continues to inspire excellence in CRNA/nurse anesthesiologist education across the profession.
