The AANA Foundation’s oral and general poster presentations at Annual Congress give RRNAs the opportunity to present their work, gain national visibility, strengthen their CVs, and connect with nurse anesthesiology leaders. Applications are due April 1, so now is the time to showcase your ideas and contribute to advancing the profession. 

Annual Congress, nurse anesthesiology’s largest educational event, will be held Aug. 21-25 in Boston and online.  

Represent RRNAs on the AANA Education Committee 

Want to have a voice in the future of nurse anesthesia education? The resident representative on the AANA Education Committee serves a one-year term, bringing the resident perspective to national discussions on educational standards and initiatives. It’s a leadership opportunity to represent your peers, build connections, and gain valuable insight. 

Applications to be considered for the ballot are open through April 30. 

As an RRNA, you are developing the clinical skills needed to deliver anesthesia care. This research article explores the lived experiences of practicing CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists and the attitudes, decision-making, and professional mindset that shape how they provide anesthesia care. These insights offer a deeper understanding of the role and responsibilities you are preparing to take on.

In recognition of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, this article highlights the important role CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists play in keeping patients safe and comfortable during colonoscopies. It offers a practical look at how to evaluate patients, develop anesthesia plans, and monitor patients throughout procedures to support safe, high-quality care.
